The PrimaCreator Ruby Nozzle is the latest addition to the PrimaCreator nozzle range. This innovative nozzle combines the advantages of a high-quality brass nozzle with the robustness of a genuine ruby tip.

A conventional brass nozzle is often recommended because it offers superior thermal conductivity. However, a brass nozzle has its drawbacks: if you want to print with abrasive materials such as carbon or glowing filament, a conventional brass nozzle wears out quickly. This is where the hardened steel nozzle comes into play, which is more durable but does not offer the optimal thermal conductivity of a brass nozzle.

The logical solution is to combine the best of both worlds – and that is exactly what the PrimaCreator Ruby Nozzle offers.

In the best nozzle we have ever produced, we use high-quality brass, complemented by a small ruby at the nozzle tip. This transforms a conventional brass nozzle into a nozzle suitable for both standard filaments like PLA, ABS, and PETG as well as more abrasive materials such as carbon-filled filament, metal, glowing filament, and wood. With this nozzle, you can use almost all types of "nozzle killer filament" currently on the market.

All PrimaCreator Ruby Nozzles are made of high-quality brass with a genuine ruby tip. They are manufactured in a state-of-the-art factory and have a tolerance of less than ± 0.01 mm. This ensures that your filament has a very smooth and clear surface when extruded, leading to better print results.

For optimal results and print quality, we strongly recommend re-leveling your build plate after switching to a new nozzle. Note that a PrimaCreator nozzle may be compatible with your printer, but the distance between the nozzle and build plate needs to be adjusted.

The manufacturing process of a PrimaCreator nozzle begins with selecting a high-quality material. Upon arrival at the factory, the material undergoes an optical inspection. Then the material is formed into a long rod. This process is done only once, unlike many other (cheaper) manufacturers where this process often has to be repeated 3-4 times without achieving the same results. After this step, the material goes through an ultrasonic cleaning bath and is then cleaned again and protected against surface oxidation.

The nozzle now takes shape with millimeter precision, with a tolerance of less than ± 0.01 mm. Removing sharp edges is an important step as it greatly affects the result. Too many sharp edges can make the nozzle more prone to clogging. Therefore, it is crucial that the nozzle is very smooth and clean before use. In each batch, some nozzles are selected and cut in half to ensure all specifications are met and the surface is in perfect condition.

The nozzles are then checked one last time and individually packed in a protective box – ready to be shipped to you.
