Designed for Demanding Filaments

The nozzle is made of silicon carbide and offers exceptional hardness (Mohs 9.8) as well as excellent thermal conductivity. It is the best choice for users printing with the following materials:

• Tungsten

• Other abrasive materials

Extensive tests show that the nozzle exhibits minimal wear even after 50 kg of PA-CF printing.

Compared to conventional hardened steel nozzles, the Phaetus SiC nozzle lasts up to 7 times longer while maintaining its precision over time. This durability helps reduce maintenance costs, extend part lifespan, and minimize nozzle changes—especially important in continuous and high-volume production environments.

High Flow Rates for Faster Prints

Thanks to the optimized melt zone and precision-machined internal channel, the SiC nozzle enables impressive flow rates tailored for modern high-speed printing. The 0.4 mm version achieves a flow rate of up to 30 mm³ per second, while the 0.6 mm variant reaches up to 40 mm³ per second. These performance values were calibrated with PLA at a printing temperature of 220 degrees Celsius, offering a perfect balance between speed and quality for prototypes and end-use parts.

Leak-Proof, Precision-Machined

The inner surface of the nozzle is machined to a roughness of less than 0.4 Ra, ensuring smooth filament feeding and minimal clogging. With a burr-free, seamless design, the nozzle prevents leaks during long print jobs. This leads to more stable extrusion and fewer failures over time.
