PrimaCreator Ruby Nozzle – The perfect solution for all materials

The PrimaCreator Ruby Nozzle is the latest addition to the PrimaCreator nozzle lineup. While a conventional brass nozzle is often recommended because it offers superior thermal conductivity, it also has its drawbacks. If you want to print with abrasive materials like carbon or glowing filaments, a conventional brass nozzle wears out quickly. Therefore, you might choose a hardened steel nozzle, which does not wear out as fast but is not optimized for daily use because its thermal conductivity is not comparable to that of a brass nozzle.

The most logical solution would be to combine the best of both worlds.

Here comes the PrimaCreator Ruby Nozzle into play.

In the best nozzle we have ever produced, we use the same coated copper as in our regular nozzles, but additionally have added a small ruby at the tip of the nozzle. This transforms a conventional coated copper nozzle into a nozzle that you can use both with standard filaments like PLA, ABS, PETG and with abrasive materials such as carbon-filled filament, metal, glowing filaments, and wood – in short, with most types of "nozzle-killer filaments" currently on the market.

Finally, you can use one nozzle for all your materials.

All PrimaCreator Ruby nozzles are made from the best high-quality coated copper with a genuine ruby tip. They are manufactured in a state-of-the-art factory. All nozzles are made with a tolerance of less than ± 0.01 mm. This means your filament has a very smooth and clear surface when extruded, which naturally leads to better print results.

For the best results and optimal print quality, we strongly recommend re-leveling your build plate after switching to a new nozzle. Note that a PrimaCreator nozzle may be compatible with your printer, but the distance between the nozzle and build plate needs to be adjusted.

The manufacturing process of a PrimaCreator nozzle starts with selected high-quality material. When the material arrives at the factory, an optical inspection of the material used for each batch of nozzles is first performed. Then the material is clamped to turn it into a long rod. In our process, this happens only once; in many other (cheaper) cases, this process must be repeated several times, often up to 3-4 times, and still does not achieve the same results. After this process, the material undergoes an ultrasonic cleaning bath and is then cleaned again and protected against surface oxidation.

The nozzle now takes shape with millimeter precision, the tolerance being less than ± 0.01 mm.

The process of removing sharp edges from the nozzles is a very important step as it makes up a large part of the result. If too many sharp edges remain on the nozzle, the likelihood of clogs increases. Therefore, it is crucial that the nozzle is very smooth and clean before use. In each batch, some nozzles are selected and cut in half to ensure that every specification is met and the surface is in perfect condition.

The nozzles are then checked one last time and individually packed in a protective box – ready to be shipped to you.
