JPT fiber laser source

The EM-Smart MOPA features a JPT fiber laser source with a power of 20W, 30W, or 60W. This laser source allows variable adjustment of the pulse duration in the range of 2 to 500 ns. With MOPA technology, equivalent marking results can be achieved in a shorter time compared to conventional fiber lasers, thanks to precise control of the laser power. Compared to the EM-Smart ONE or EM-Smart BASICS fiber lasers, the frequency and pulse width of the JPT fiber laser can be adjusted independently. By adjusting these two parameters, it is possible to process a wider range of materials with higher marking contrast. The MOPA laser also offers extended possibilities for plastic marking, opening up a variety of application options. An optional version with a rotary device is also available.

Color engraving on stainless steel

The MOPA laser enables engraving on stainless steel in up to 32 colors, thanks to the ability to precisely adjust the frequency and duration of the laser pulse. By adjusting both parameters, the MOPA laser can achieve higher contrast in engravings on a variety of metals and plastics. Black engravings on anodized aluminum, colored engravings on stainless steel, or white engravings on black plastic are now possible. Thanks to the precise control of laser power, the MOPA laser minimizes the risk of melting plastics during engraving and ensures a high-quality final result. The era of colored engraving has begun!

The EM-Smart MOPA offers a wider range of applications compared to the EM-Smart ONE or BASIC lasers. Mainly, the MOPA is used for marking various metals as well as for black engravings on anodized aluminum. What distinguishes the EM-Smart MOPA is the ability to achieve deeper contrast on metals and plastics. Thanks to a laser spot that is four times thinner than a human hair, the sharpness of even the smallest letters is ensured.
