Silk PLA filament – silky glossy surfaces for 3D printing
With our Silk PLA filament, you achieve stunning, satin-colored surfaces without sacrificing the easy handling of PLA. Ideal for decorative objects, art models, and show 3D prints.
Why choose Silk PLA?
- Silky shine & elegant look – reduces visible layer lines
- Good printability – similar to standard PLA, with slight adjustment needed
- Wide color selection – from metallic to gradients (Rainbow, Gradient)
- Various diameters & spool sizes available
Recommended settings & hints
- Nozzle temperature: usually 190–230 °C (depending on brand/color)
- Heated print bed: often 25–60 °C (not strictly necessary)
- Retraction: moderate values, adjust slightly if stringing occurs
- Store dry – especially in humid environments
Our Silk PLA range is ideally structured: you can filter specifically by color, diameter, or brand. If you have a particularly large range, we also recommend subcategories like “Silk Rainbow,” “Metallic Silk,” or “1.75 mm / 3 mm.”
Note: If you primarily want to print technical or highly durable components, also check out our PLA-Plus or Technical Filaments categories.
